1. Right Tackle

Jon Robinson has done a great job since taking over as the new GM of the Tennessee Titans. While he did bring back stop-gap offensive tackle (and backup guard) Byron Bell, the Titans could still upgrade at right tackle. There is a misconception that the idea for the Titans should be to move Taylor Lewan over to right tackle, and that comes from people who haven’t watched the Titans. Lewan is well above average at left tackle, so why mess with what is working when you have so many needs. Go grab a player like Jack Conklin (who fits the prototype) or Taylor Decker (who has actually played right tackle before).

2. Safety

I don’t doubt that Rashad Johnson could bring veteran leadership and experience to this defense at free safety, but they need to get a long term answer at that position. Instead of lining up to pay an exorbitant amount at the position in free agency, fix it with one of your prime picks in the second or third round in a deep class. Karl Joseph, Vonn Bell, Justin Simmons, and Darian Thompson all stick out as very talented options at the position.

3. Cornerback

This was a tough choice because it was between this and outside receiver, both of which are fairly big needs for the Titans. I am willing to gamble on Dorial Green-Beckham taking the next step and Rishard Matthews being properly identified by Jon Robinson as someone who can start in this league consistently. That means that cornerback is the pick here. Perrish Cox was a good starter last year, but ideally you don’t want him to be forced into lining up with speed receivers on the outside. Jason McCourty is a capabale starter in this league, but he is recovering from injury and you don’t want to risk him either not returning at full strength or being hurt again.

Behind them the Titans really don’t have anyone on the outside you feel comfortable with, so why not take a player with a ton of talent who may not be ready to start from day one, but who has huge upside. Guys like Mackensie Alexander, Xavien Howard, Kendall Fuller, or William Jackson could all come to the Titans in the second round and push for a chance to start as they learn the Dick LeBeau system.
