2. Second round, 38th overall: Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama

After letting go of Stefen Wisniewski and releasing Zane Beadles (who signed with San Francisco), the Jaguars are in need of some interior line help. They obviously have last year’s third rounder A.J. Cann as well as 2014 third rounder Brandon Linder, who has developed into a very good player.

That said, the center position is one that could be upgraded, and most people feel like Kelly is the best one in the draft. As T.J. Yeldon would know, Kelly is an athletic freak for a center who can move around but also play with power. He has great upper body strength, is a technician, and comes from one of the most well-coached football programs in the country.

Alabama has been churning out NFL linemen with obscene regularity since Nick Saban came aboard. This would be a somewhat boring pick for the Jags, but a necessary one and a very good one. He’d be a plug-and-play starter for them on the offensive interior.
