Janoris Jenkins arrives to help shore up the cornerback position for the Giants. Perhaps the draft should be used to help bolster safety. Landon Collins struggled at times last season, but he was a rookie and should get better with experience. Finding somebody to play next to him and perhaps offer more ability to make plays in coverage is the goal for the front office now.
Often in the draft teams let heigh-weight-speed prospects rise rather than more proven football players. The reason being that coaches always feel they can teach the game enough to help those great athletes excel. It doesn’t always work, but when it does it can create superstars. That will be the challenge undertaken with T.J. Green. The Clemson safety is a rangy 6’2″ in size and ran a 4.34 at scouting combine. That mix of size and speed can be deadly on the back end of a defense, provided he can improve his raw game with more experience.
.
