1st Round

OT. Michigan State. Jack Conklin . 11. player. 57. Initially scouts were skeptical of Jack Conklin as a top 15 left tackle due to questions of his athleticism.  He answered that with an impressive display at the scouting combine.  He has the necessary quickness and footwork to go along with size, strength, experience and a nasty streak that makes him a legitimate plug-and-play starter from Day 1 on Jay Cutler’s blind side.

2nd Round

player. 57. Ryan Pace is a big advocate of the safety position on defense, as is Vic Fangio.  Finding somebody to play alongside Adrian Amos is the next goal on their agenda.  Karl Joseph, while not overly big at 5’10”, might be considered the defensive version of Kevin White.  A great athlete with a fierce competitive streak and aggressive, attacking mentality.  He’s good in coverage and around the line of scrimmage.  Exactly the versatile type Fangio prefers.. S. West Virginia. Karl Joseph . 41

3rd Round

Pernell McPhee should be a building block at outside linebacker moving forward, but the same can’t be said for Lamarr Houston and Willie Young, who are approaching their 30s and fit better as 4-3 defensive ends.  That makes somebody like Kyler Fackrell, a long and athletic edge rusher who can drop into coverage with equal effectiveness a far better fit.. OLB. Utah State. Kyler Fackrell . 72. player. 57
