Good Day to you Mocks Fans!

Welcome to another great round of NFL previews! This week we go into the Monday Night Football game between the Giants and the Dolphins. First, let’s take a look around the league at some other fun news. There are days where I’ll jump straight into business and some days where I’ll take my time and have a little fun with you, today is the latter. I get to sit back and enjoy the outside of Panera on a nice sunny South Florida day. Although my mango tea is running low so this may get messy.

Okay, I get it, you aren’t here for my mango tea madness, you’re here to see what will happen in this Monday Night Matchup. This is going to be a very interesting game. I believe one of two things are going to happen.

Option one: We have a big time shootout on our hands, helping fantasy owners all over the world. Both defenses will look like total crap and it’s going to be Odell Beckham vs Jarvis Landry in a best friend reunion on the field.

Option two: We have a stinker. Okay, that isn’t a good enough word. Let’s try this: we have a toilet bowl type of game. Both teams swirling around the bottom and neither of them actually want to win. Perfect analogy! *Self Five*

Let’s take a look at the Dolphins season so far.

We expected a much improved Dolphins team to start off the year, and man were we wrong! This team never got out of the gates and looked like the never got told the season started until Joe Philbin got fired. I was sad to see that happen personally. I had the pleasure of meeting him and sitting in on a film session with him and learned quite a bit, but it was time for a change in Miami. South Florida fans are notorious fair weather fans, and you need to win in order to keep your team’s stadium alive.

The defense has not been what we expected. The arrival of Suh and his $60 Million Guaranteed deal was supposed to spark the defense. Nope. The offense has had its flashes, but nothing consistent at all this year. The only constant has been the targets and handoffs to Jarvis Landry, who is emerging as one of the premier receivers in professional football.

Okay, now the Giants season.

I was recently told that if every game this season ended 75 seconds earlier, the Giants would be 10-2. I have some choice words to go along with that which are not appropriate here. We could be 10-2. TEN AND TWO! Nope, not this year. Sorry Giants fans, I’m as disappointed as you. Did you ever think as Giants fans we would say how disappointed we were being in a tie for first place this late into the season? Well, 5-7 has lots of reasons to be disappointed for sure.

The defense has been awful. Just plain awful. There has been ZERO run game. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Rueben Randle has been a drop machine. Injuries are plaguing the offensive line….again. There is one bright spot:

ELI MANNING CONNECTING WITH ODELL BECKHAM JR FOR TOUCHDOWNS!

That’s it. That’s the Giants season right now. That sentence. Those words are what make up an entire season. There is nothing else, maybe an occasional nice play by Dwayne Harris, but that’s about it.

So what do I see happening? I see option one happening. SHOOTOUT BABY! Be ready for an exciting Monday Night Game as the Giants are fighting for survival. The playoffs have started. Let’s face it, that’s where we are at now. The Dolphins have very little to play for, and the Giants are playing for everything now. For their season, for a Super Bowl, for their beloved Tom Coughlin’s head coaching job. Everything starts with this Monday night.

Final Prediction: Giants 34 Dolphins 24
