NFL Mocks Staff Predictions: Week 14

Okay, this game is much bigger than the last. The Falcons vs Panthers. The Falcons have been the true tale of two teams. They started 6-0 and are now 6-6. While they still have a formidable pass defense, their rush defense has gone down the tubes. The offense seems to just be off. Not just slow, just flat lined…off. Julio Jones is still leading the league in receiving, but that is not enough anymore. Especially against a team like the 12-0 Panthers….in Carolina.
The Panthers as I just mentioned are 12-0. They’ve had their share of close calls. Last week the pathetic New Orleans Saints somehow kept up with them and nearly won the game. It took Cam Newton putting the team back on his shoulders and leading them yet again. Cam right now is the clear front-runner for the MVP and I don’t find it to be very close. You may disagree, but Cam has developed into the quarterback I hoped he would. He doesn’t just rely on his legs anymore. He uses them when he needs, but knows that he is the leader of the offense and needs to use his head and his arm just as much as his legs.
Is there a question who I’m picking? Now let’s see who picked an upset!
Matt: Panthers
Nick: Falcons
Brady: Panthers
Erik: Panthers
Shawn: Panthers
George: Panthers
Tyler: Panthers
Joe: Falcons
Sayre: Panthers
Next: Patriots vs Texans
