NFL picks for Thanksgiving weekend? You bet!

Sit back, relax and enjoy the hot takes.

Thanksgiving Games

Eagles vs. Lions, 12:30 ET on Thanksgiving, FOX

The Pick: Lions win, 27-20.

It’s very hard to side with a Mark Sanchez-led Eagles team, especially given the circumstances that follow Chip Kelly’s bunch. While they’re technically still in the hunt to win the division, chances look bleak — and that’s putting it nicely.

The Lions are on a bit of a hot streak … perhaps Martha Ford lit a bit of a spark in her “angry, apologetic” presser. Momentum for the win.

Panthers vs. Cowboys, 4:30 ET on Thanksgiving, CBS

The Pick: Panthers win, 30-22.

Dallas is going to put up a fight. Given what they’ve been through this season, chances at swiping the division are rather high if they can pull off the win on Turkey Day.

They’ll give Carolina all they can handle, but how is Cam Newton going to lose out on the opportunity to steal the show with the world watching with a stomach full of stuffing and turkey? This is his moment — he won’t squander the opportunity. Carolina is the more well-rounded team with momentum to cash in on.

Bears vs. Packers, 8:30 ET on Thanksgiving, NBC

The Pick: Packers win, 38-22.

Packers at home on Brett Favre’s retirement night? C’mon man!

Here’s the lock of the week. If Green Bay finds a way to lose this game, the season collapses. Bottom line: they won’t let it.

Good news for all of you very full and tired-of-family football viewers — you might have an excuse to go to bed by halftime.
