It’s another blow to the health and football career of Houston Texans running back Arian Foster. Foster went down with what was described as a non-contact leg injury during a devastating loss to the Miami Dolphins. Miami scored 41 unanswered points before crushing Houston 44-26, a game in which Ryan Tannehill was nearly perfect.

Watch Foster’s right foot getting set and ready to come out of the break. You can clearly see him push just a little too much on it and just buckle down.

As for the veteran running back Foster, doctors fear he has torn his achillies tendon. Such an injury would end his season and be a huge hit to Foster’s career. The injury is not official, but the result is more than likely true.
Texans confirmed RB Arian Foster hurt his Achilles. Doctors believe it is torn. Horrible.

The 29-year old running back missed most of the preseason and the beginning of the Texans 2015 campaign with a groin injury. Foster had torn the muscle off the bone and was placed on IR/Designated to return. Since joining the NFL in 2009, Foster has torn his hamstring and meniscus. He has also dealt with a medley of hamstring, calf and groin pulls throughout his NFL career.
One could argue Achilles tear is career threatening for a 30 year-old RB, but @ArianFoster has good chance to return near 100% in 2016.

In seven seasons, Foster has accumulated over 6400 rushing yards and 53 touchdowns. He also has over 2,000 receiving yards and 13 receiving touchdowns. Last season he earned his fourth Pro-Bowl appearance in six years. Despite his injuries, he quickly became one of the best running backs in all of football.
Houston goes on to a 2-5 record, certainly not something they expected entering the season. Chris Polk and Alfred Blue are expected to pickup the workload for Houston with Foster out for the season.
