The real excitement should be around Pace’s draft picks. Already two of them have become not just contributors but starters on defense. If that weren’t enough, they’re making plays. Second round pick Eddie Goldman notched his first sack of the season against the Raiders, a team that had only given up one over the previous three games.

He’s also improving against the run. The Bears gave up 70 rushing yards in week 4 with him up front. That is significant improvement on the part of his game most felt was a weak point.
