It may be a little early yet, but linebacker Sam Acho is positioning himself to become another hidden gem Pace lured in. While he just gained the starting outside job with the departure of Jared Allen, it’s worth noting he had an outstanding preseason that showcased his value not only as a pass rusher but in coverage. All of that was on display against Oakland as he provided some pressure and clogged passing lanes.
Another thing that stands out? His passion. Like McPhee, he plays the game with a ton of energy and enthusiasm. That can be infectious to teammates, especially if he starts making plays.
