Where McPhee isn’t a huge surprise considering the money Chicago gave him, Pace deserves even more credit for scooping up defensive end Jarvis Jenkins. A former second round pick, he had a rather difficult time in Washington with the Redskins. Most felt he was little more than quality depth for the Bears this season.
Instead the man has experienced a career renaissance. He’s making stops against the run, flying around the field making tackles, deflecting passes and sacking the quarterback. He has three in the past two games, clearly playing like a man who wants a long-term contract (signed one-year deal in free agency).
