Dan Quinn is a better defensive mind that first believed
The Seattle Seahawks were probably less than thrilled with the news that defensive coordinator Dan Quinn was leaving to take over as head coach with the Atlanta Falcons. Based on their own defensive showing in St. Louis that was clear enough, but Quinn showed his value from the very beginning by doing just enough to turn away a dynamic Philadelphia Eagles offense.
His unit, which was among the worst in the NFL last season, was able to frustrate them early and then held one late. Their pass rush remains a concern but two interception of Sam Bradford proved they are on the right track, and Quinn is the right guy leading the way.
