Football season is finally here! Well to be specific, it doesn’t start until tomorrow for the Pittsburgh vs New England game, but nonetheless, we are all excited for the most famous sport in modern history to be back! With that being said, there are always going to be predictions on how each person’s favorite team will fare in the season. Some are outlandish, some are viable, but they all share one thing in common: Speculation. By speculating, you are assuming that your team can do something they have not accomplished yet. For example, we cannot predict injuries, setbacks, or suspensions, but we predict outcomes anyway because that is human nature. To follow that, upsets are likely to happen early in the season and will send shock waves to the entire NFL universe. So without further ado, I bring to you my most likely upsets for week one as my latest NFL Predictions piece.

Oakland Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals

I believe this will be a competitive match up throughout the afternoon with fireworks from both offenses in run and the pass. Even though both of these teams are starting to make a name for themselves with their young core on defense, I expect this game to be high scoring for the most part with the young weapons on both teams. Contrary to popular belief, I feel that the Oakland Raiders will edge out the Cincinnati Bengals on a field goal to end the game 27-24 with Derek Carr making a splash in his first start with 300+ passing yards.

Prediction: Oakland 30-27

Next: Atlanta vs. Philadelphia
