Like with Dupree, the expectations for Jones were much higher than he’s been able to attain to this point in his NFL career. Jones has been a draft disappointment since his dominant days at Georgia, but the clock has not run out on him yet.

In 33 snaps this preseason, he’s graded out well against the run and has been one of the highest overall graded Steelers defensive players. This is a critical year for the former first round pick. He’s got to find his way not only into the rotation, but into an impact spot on this team and I think he’s on his way.

This could finally be the breakout the Steelers have been looking for from Jones.
