Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett are equal when good and bad

Head coach Bill O’Brien is convinced the Houston Texans have two quarterbacks who can start in the NFL with Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett.  That may be true.  The problem is neither one of them is showcasing that starter ability to consistently put good weeks of play together.  When Hoyer has been good, Mallett has been good.  Week 2 of the preseason proved it the other way, with each struggling against Denver.

O’Brien has decided to go with Hoyer for the time being, but is he really the better choice?  The Texans better hope so.
