Score at the Half: Philadelphia Eagles 24-0 Baltimore Ravens

Sam Bradford Can Take a Hit

Every Eagles fan winced when Bradford took a hit to the knees early, as well as the high hit later in the drive. The later hit was high on his shoulders and Bradford needed a couple seconds to recover. He had to shake his head and move his jaw around, but he came out unscathed.

Bradford only played one series, but showed both some positives and some rust. He finished 3-5 for 35 yards, helping lead a touchdown drive finished off by Ryan Matthews. The total drive totaled at 12 plays, 84 yards.

Kenjon Barner Belongs on the 53 Man Roster

In back to back weeks, the former Oregon Duck had a long return touchdown. While it might look tough to carry four running backs, Chip Kelly loves those “Swiss Army Knife” players who can play special teams. Don’t look at Barner as the fourth running back, but as one of your specialty returners.

He had four returns, averaging nearly 23 yards per attempt to go with the 68 yard punt return.

Ravens Take Too Many Penalties

The announcers said Terrell Suggs might have had more penalties in the first quarter than he had all last season. Overall, the Ravens finished with nine penalties totaling 82 yards. That’s more yards than the top four receivers had combined in the half. John Harbaugh can’t be happy with that stat.

Joe Flacco Did Not Look Good

With two interceptions, Flacco had a rough go early in this game. He only completed there passes on seven attempts, totaling 23 yards. Not what you want to see in your big-time money quarterback. On the other hand, its just the preseason. Lets see what Flacco does in his next appearance before Ravens fans get too anxious.
