David Johnson, RB

Here’s a guy who is interesting for a whole number of reasons. Despite many draft analysts not exactly loving Johnson as a prospect out of college, he does possess that football player feel that certain prospects just don’t have.

He’s tough and experienced in both the run and pass game. He provides a lot for an NFL style offense, clearly a big factor in Arizona’s selection.

Now, this week he’ll be coming back from not only a hamstring injury, but after a week where the team added Chris Johnson — more widely dubbed as “CJ2K”. For David to keep up and prove to Arians that he deserves time on the field, he’ll have to stand out later in the game against lesser talent.

If he can’t do that, questions have to arrive about his role in 2015. He looks to be the RB3 as things currently stand. But for a third-round pick, he must prove his worth during the rest of the preseason.
