Stock Up: Kirk Cousins
He’s been jerked and jostled around the depth chart for three seasons now between two different coaching staffs. Yet Kirk Cousins refuses to go away. The young quarterback from Michigan State still has supporters around the league who feel he can run a team if one actually commits to him, unlike the Washington Redskins. They seem unable to make a definitive decision between him and Robert Griffin III.
Cousins offered another reminder when he outplayed his teammate in the opener, throwing for 154 yards on 12-of-14 passing. It was an impressive outing and served to help the Redskins overcome a 14-3 deficit that resulted in a 20-17 win. He may not be flashy, but Cousins has proven yet again he knows how to run an offense with precision.
