#31:  Jacoby Jones’ Mile High Miracle

*Skip to 0:36 for the play

Miracle is the perfect word for this play.  The Baltimore Ravens, for all intents and purposes appeared done in the 2012 divisional playoffs.  The Denver Broncos held a 35-28 lead with under 45 seconds to play and the Ravens were 70 yards from a game-tying score.  All they had to do was play prevent defense and it was over.

Unfortunately they underestimated two things:  the arm strength of quarterback Joe Flacco and speed of wide receiver Jacoby Jones.  Both combined to rip the heart out of Broncos nation on a hail mary bomb down the sideline for a stunning score, sending the game into overtime.

Baltimore went on to steal the game in double overtime and would ride that momentum to a Super Bowl championship.
