#24: Santonio Holmes’ Super Bowl TD
Few receivers developed a flair for the dramatic more than Santonio Holmes over the past decade. That includes on and off the field. Regardless of what people may think of him as a person, he still got to live the dream every wide receiver has when they learn the position back in Pee Wee: make the game-winning catch in the Super Bowl.
To think his came in arguably the most dramatic and entertaining one of all-time makes it that much better. After the Pittsburgh Steelers fell behind 23-20. Holmes and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger got the team down into the Arizona Cardinals red zone with under a minute to play. After an incompletion on 1st down, Roethlisberger fired a pass to the right corner of the end zone. Somehow Holmes managed to extend enough to grab the ball and still dragged both his toes inside the side line for the touchdown.
A booth review upheld the call, handing Pittsburgh its sixth title.
