#9: Jimmy Graham: “Golden Graham“
So many layers to this nickname. First of all, who doesn’t love golden grahams cereal. It’s a great way to start the day and absolutely delicious. Imagine if Lucky Charm lent their marshmallows to the bowl. Ugh, heaven!
Beyond that Jimmy Graham has so much depth to his tag. His last name of course but also the golden helmet he donned every Sunday, lending further credo to it. Lastly, as with every other player on the list, he enhanced the “golden” part of the tag by being one of the best tight ends in football.
He has never had fewer than 85 catches since becoming a starter in 2011 and has scored 51 touchdowns in just five years. The way he impacts games and how defenses are forced to adjust is a testament to his size, speed and ability to catch the football. In essence a basketball power forward running routes.
His move to Seattle may dampen it a bit, but the nickname is as simple yet creative as it gets.
