Josh McDaniels. 1. player. 47. One thing to note with McCloughan is that he chose two head coaches in San Francisco who were on their first tries. Their failures could easily convince the GM to seek out an option with some prior head coaching experience. In that case Josh McDaniels makes a ton of sense. Not only is he a premier offensive mind in the game, but his ugly two-year stint in Denver taught him a lot of valuable lessons about the job. He’s older and much wiser than he was seven years ago..
