Vic Fangio. 1. player. 57. After seeing how he operated during his first stint as a GM, McCloughan seems to prefer head coaches who preach toughness and defense in guys like Mike Nolan and Mike Singletary. It didn’t quite work out in San Francisco, but that doesn’t mean it won’t in Washington. Vic Fangio is a seasoned NFL veteran who has been around the league as a proven assistant since the late 1980s. He’s considered one of the best defensive coordinators in the league and has learned from guys like Jim Mora and the Harbaugh brothers. At age 56 he could be long overdue for an opportunity.. DC.
