Pass defense was a real headache for the New Orleans Saints last season and probably cost them a lot of games.  So it was a given they planned to improve it.  Yet they aren’t getting enough credit for luring Brandon Browner away from New England.  While Darrelle Revis got the spotlight with the Patriots, Browner was one of the keys to their defensive resurgence and arguably the biggest hero of the Super Bowl.  People forget how critical it was when he demanded to be switched over to cover receiver Chris Matthews, who had been gashing them the entire game.  Browner got his wish and Matthews was shut down the rest of the game.  The Saints bring that confidence along with size (6’4″) to their secondary where they pair him with Keenan Lewis.  Not bad at all.. CB. New Orleans. Brandon Browner. 1. player. 15

S. Houston. Stevie Brown. 1. player. 10. Back in 2012 there was no bigger surprise in the NFL than Stevie Brown, who went from journeyman safety to ball hawk when he entered the New York Giants starting lineup, collecting eight interceptions and 11 pass deflections in just 11 starts.  His growth took a hit though when he was lost for 2013 to a season-ending injury.  He came back last year but looked out of sync in the eight starts he made.  That should’ve been expected.  Now fully healthy, Brown arrives on the Houston Texans with a chance to claim one of their wide open safety spots and play behind a defensive front featuring J.J. Watt.  That is the dream of any ball hawk.
