The reality of an NFL offseason is that ton of moves are made and it’s almost impossible to keep track of them all, let alone give them the proper attention they deserve.  That usually leads to sleeper situations in which players are forgotten about, only to resurface with their new teams.  Who are some big names that require such attention heading into 2015?

player. 51. Ask anybody who watched the St. Louis Rams in 2014 on what was the one thing they were missing.  There’s a strong chance over 95% of the answers would’ve been the same:  a quarterback.  Despite boasting a roster burgeoning with young talent, inconsistent and lack of talent under center has hurt this team the past couple seasons.  That is why it’s surprising the arrival of Nick Foles isn’t getting more attention.  Has everybody forgotten this is a 26-year old with plenty of ability who went to the Pro Bowl two years ago?  If the Rams can give him a ground game and modest pass protection, he’s shown he can beat defenses with regularity.  Combine that with their suffocating defense and it’s time to beware of St. Louis.. player. 54. All the talk has centered around why the Philadelphia Eagles traded LeSean McCoy and what the star running back thinks of the situation.  Almost no one has stopped to ask what the team got in return.  Linebacker Kiko Alonso had 159 tackles, two sacks, four interceptions and a forced fumble as a rookie in 2013.  He should’ve gone to the Pro Bowl for that season.  Unfortunately he couldn’t follow up on that as he tore his ACL before the start of last year.  Still, at age 24 he should return healthy in 2015 and the Eagles will have the chance to pair him with Mychal Kendricks at inside linebacker.  Their defense hasn’t been taken seriously before.  It should be now..
