The Jaguars don’t have the deepest roster, nor do they have something the Vikings might covet, but they could get creative and pull off a trade for Peterson if they wanted.

They certainly have the cap space to be able to do so.

Adding Peterson would allow the Jaguars to move on from Toby Gerhart, and they could use AP in tandem with new draft pick T.J. Yeldon. They might have to give up more than they would be willing to, but getting Peterson for less than the price of an actual first round pick would be a valuable addition for Jacksonville, which has made some really nice pickups this offseason including some upgrades to their offensive line.

This would also make Blake Bortles really happy.
