Report: Tim Tebow Training For One More NFL Shot?
Nothing and nobody quite riles up the masses like the name Tim Tebow. It’s official — the former first round pick has been working the last two years toward one more NFL comeback, and according to a report from Ben Volin of The Boston Globe, it may be sooner rather than later.

The veteran NFL Combine coming up seems like a perfect venue for Tebow to display his new skill set to NFL teams, but according to the report linked above, it’s not yet been determined if that’s the avenue Tebow will take.
According to Volin, Tebow has been working the last two years with Tom House, who is also Tom Brady’s personal quarterback coach, and is apparently showing marked improvement in his throwing skills than when he was with the Broncos, Jets, or even Patriots.
“He went from being a little inaccurate and didn’t throw a whole lot of spirals, to throwing very accurate and real good at spinning the ball,” House said, per Volin.
Tebow is a physical freak. When he was drafted by Josh McDaniels and the Denver Broncos in 2010, he was drafted with the thought that McDaniels could take the intangibles, leadership capabilities, and athletic ability, and morph Tebow into a dual-threat pocket passer who could also run the ball well.
McDaniels wasn’t even around for Tebow’s first NFL start.
The Broncos never gave Tebow an offseason as the starter. He had different play callers both years, and a different front office in both his years with the Broncos.
If he had been poured into properly, he could have developed into a really good player in this league.
The Broncos traded Tebow for a couple of draft picks to the New York Jets, and Rex Ryan and company made an egregious error by not playing Tebow really at all as a quarterback as they struggled to one of the worst seasons by a group of quarterbacks we have seen in a long time, led by Mark Sanchez.
After Tebow was let go in New York, he landed in New England but didn’t make it out of the pre-season, despite having McDaniels there to vouch for him.
The career, seemingly over, will be given one last look. Most recently, Tebow has been working for ESPN as a college football analyst and commentator, and he’s proven that if football doesn’t work out on this last attempt, he’s got a future there in some capacity.
The distraction of Tebow has worn off. There are plenty of other players in the league providing headlines that Tebow will be a big deal for a bit, but it won’t be like it once was.
Hopefully, Tebow can make it back into the league. There are a ton of other quarterbacks on NFL rosters right now that are way worse than he is or was, and he’s at least fun to watch. We’ll see what happens as this progresses, but it’s certainly something to follow.
