It was reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN on Friday afternoon that the Chicago Bears have traded WR Brandon Marshall to the New York Jets pending a physical. Below, find the full news, including a trade grade and much more regarding the upcoming deal.
UPDATE: The teams have reportedly agreed to terms of a deal. Nothing official yet, but it is presumed upcoming.
Here’s the official tweet from Schefter, reporting the news that many saw coming due to an earlier report during the day (see more of that below):

As mentioned, this deal was actually presumed on the docket by an individual report early on Friday morning. @AaronLemingNFL on Twitter reported that he had a source tell him the Jets were going to trade for the veteran WR, but didn’t receive as much attention as he probably should have.
Here was his tweet that seems to be the first report:
Separate sources have confirmed that WR Brandon Marshall will be traded to the #Jets for a "late round" pick on Tuesday. #Bears

With many reports linking these two separate pieces, it appears the veteran receiver that has had much controversy surrounding him is indeed heading to The Big Apple to play under Todd Bowles.
The Trade Grade
On the surface, this seems like a very good deal for the New York Jets. Depending on what they gave up (we’ll update this as soon as the details emerge), it appears this receiving corps just got a whole lot better.
With youth all around on the New York offense, Marshall should bring a veteran presence that can help this unit grow for years to come. We’ll give the Jets an A for what this looks like on the surface.
