3. Brady vs. LOB
Tom Brady is facing his toughest task of the season, going against the best secondary in National Football League. The last time the Patriots faced the Seahawks was in 2012 in Seattle, losing 24-23. Tom Brady threw for 395 yards, but it took him 58 attempts to get to that total and there’s no suggesting that it’ll be easier this time around.
His supporting cast is a bit different this time around with no Aaron Hernandez, Danny Woodhead, or Wes Welker on this team. Seattle’s secondary is also improved since then as Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Kam Chancellor have developed into perennial All-Pro talents. Seattle’s Legion of Boom should have no problem shutting down Tom Brady’s weapons, outside of Rob Gronkowski. The burden is going to be on Tom Brady’s shoulders to make great throws with pinpoint accuracy in order to beat Seattle’s elite secondary and speedy coverage linebackers.
If the Patriots can win this game on the arm of Tom Brady, it should propel him to be considered the greatest quarterback ever, even alongside the Deflategate scandal.
