1. The Deflate-Gate Scandal

Unless you’re a cave dweller, you’ve undoubtedly been subjected to the nauseating national media coverage of the Patriots’ Deflate-Gate scandal over the past week. With the amount of talk covering the deflated footballs, the topic of the Super Bowl (the most important game of the season if you didn’t know) has barely been brought up.

In reality, the Deflategate Scandal isn’t as big of a deal as talking heads on ESPN (yes, I’m talking to you, Mark Brunell) make it out to be. At the end of the day, the Patriots put a beatdown on the Colts 45-7. Many Colts players have come out and said that Deflategate isn’t a big deal.

If this happened to any team besides the Patriots, this wouldn’t be nearly as big of a deal as it is. However, since the team was found guilty of Spygate in 2007, any malpractice they get caught doing is going to be blown out proportion.

I understand that they broke the rules and they should be punished for doing so, but can’t we wait until after the Super Bowl to give it so much attention? This is one of the best Super Bowl matchups in recent history and we’re talking too much about PSI in footballs rather than the actual game.
