2015 Pro Bowl Predictions: Romo, Cowboys Set to Shine!

facebooktwitterreddit

As expected, Michael Irvin stole the show in the Pro Bowl Draft last night, getting his hands on any Dallas Cowboys player he possibly could. For a bit of fun, let’s take a shot at a few 2015 Pro Bowl predictions, detailing why Tony Romo and the rest of his Cowboys counterparts might be in for a big afternoon on Sunday.

More from NFL Mocks

Tony Romo

200+ yards and two touchdowns to two TEs, Jason Witten and Jimmy Graham

If there’s one thing we learned about Sunday’s Pro Bowl after the draft, it’s that Michael Irvin’s (Team Irvin) squad is absolutely stacked in their starting unit. With Romo slinging the ball to Graham and Witten throughout the first two quarters, things could get ugly very quickly.

I like Romo to break out in this one, tossing a pair of TDs to his tight ends. (He should playing NEXT weekend — yes, Dallas was ROBBED!)

DeMarco Murray

6 yards per carry

I’m not going to guarantee much as far as scoring goes here — it is the pass-happy Pro Bowl — but I do think Murray will have a nice performance. He’s clearly the best back on this team and will carry the load for much of the first half.

(Since we’re having fun here, I have to call out Mr. Irvin for taking Mark Ingram as his second RB. I know you’re not working on ESPN, so you’re not familiar with the phrase, but C’mon Man!)

Offensive Line

Irvin’s Dallas crush went to good use when it was time to select the offensive linemen. The Dallas unit was the best in the league, and Team Irvin stashed all three of the Pro Bowl attendees.

Zack Martin, Tyron Smith, and Travis Frederick will be starting with Marshal Yanda and Joe Thomas, from the Ravens and Browns respectively.

Final Score Prediction

As much as I like the Dallas representation this year, I think Cris Carter’s unit is the deeper group on both offense and defense.

Team Carter 33, Team Irvin 29.
