Patriots vs. Packers Best Matchup of NFL Season?
Patriots vs. Packers. Brady vs. Rodgers.
The NFL’s game of the year.
Regardless if this is a Super Bowl preview or not (Broncos fans hope not), this is one of the best matchups you will ever see, and it’s the first time you’ll ever see it. That’s right, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers have never faced off against each other in their NFL careers, something that seems like a complete joke but is, in fact, true.
No two individual players in the NFL are playing as good or better right now than Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, and you could also argue that no two teams right now are playing better than the Patriots or Packers.
Unstoppable force, meet immovable object.
If any game has high-scoring shootout written all over it, it’s this game, which likely means that it will be about 10-6 or something like that at halftime as each team feels the other out.
The Packers have the distinct advantage in this game of playing at home, while the Patriots don’t really seem to care where they play lately. Wherever they take their act, the Patriots have been absolutely dominant in recent weeks, but the Packers have a really good chance to knock them off because of one man — Mr. Rodgers.
Any time you come into Mr. Rodgers’ neighborhood, you had better be ready to play the best football of your life. He’s currently on a streak of 29 touchdown passes compared to no interceptions at Lambeau Field, and the Packers are rolling. They are 5-0 at home this season and have scored over 100 points in their last two games there.
The Patriots and Packers are the two highest scoring teams in the NFL, and you’re looking at one of the best offensive minds in the NFL in Packers coach Mike McCarthy going up against a defensive chess match wizard in Bill Belichick.
This game promises to be epic, and all eyes will be glued on the TV. I’m taking the Packers in this one.
