Browns vs. Titans Predictions: Why Johnny Manziel Will Shine
By Joe Wedra
In this batch of Browns vs. Titans predictions, we take a look at QB Johnny Manziel and detail why he might just have a huge game in Tennessee. Weigh in below in the comments section with your predictions for one of Sunday’s most underrated games.
QB Johnny Manziel: Breakout game, over 150 total yards and TD
Alright, it’s time. Cleveland’s season is on the line. Johnny Manziel is fresh, he’s prepared, and he’s ready to have a huge game against the Titans. Expect Brian Hoyer to start slow, forcing the Browns to insert Manziel in certain situations to get things going.
It would make sense to give the Manziel package a few tries. Heck, let him sling the ball around! In desperation mode to salvage any playoff hope, the Browns need to win this game. Unleashing Manziel might just be the key here.
RB Ben Tate: Back from injury, 100+ yards, 2 TD
I’m ready to see Tate back on the field, and have no doubts that he can get the job done against a pretty rough Titans defense. That unit might show flashes at times, but it isn’t anywhere near what Tate is going to see in future AFC North matchups.
He’s ready to be back on the field and remind fans that Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell aren’t the only ones who can carry the rock in Cleveland. Look for a big day here.
RB Bishop Sankey: Another breakout game, 70+ yards, TD
Another coming out party! Sankey is going to make the entire league know his name, it’s just a matter of time. This week, the former Washington running back is going to see more snaps – something that Titans fans can be grateful for. He’s the future of the backfield, and it’s better to get him out there early this season.
FINAL SCORE: Browns – 30, Titans – 17
This one is a blowout. Mike Pettine’s squad gets a huge confidence boost here.
