New England Patriots at Minnesota Vikings
Bill Belichick is rarely so kind to opponents when his Patriots are coming off a loss. However, he shouldn’t expect a gimme against a young and feisty Vikings team, especially when they still have Adrian Peterson.
Result: NE 26, MIN 24
Arizona Cardinals at New York Giants
Eli Manning and the Giants defense were both equally inept in Detroit. Will returning home bring any comfort? Based on how well Arizona has played dating back to last year that is really a hard argument to make.
Result: NYG 16, ARI 21
Dallas Cowboys at Tennessee Titans
One must go on the road after a deflating loss and the other returns home after a huge upset win. The Titans have defense and now seem to be blossoming on offense. Dallas will need a big game from Tony Romo if they want to escape 0-2.
Result: DAL 27, TEN 30
Jacksonville Jaguars at Washington Redskins
Things just aren’t clicking for Robert Griffin III and the Redskins offense. Returning home may provide a boost but they aren’t getting a cupcake with the visiting Jaguars who are young, enthusiastic and well-coached under Gus Bradley.
Result: JAX 15, WSH 13
