Week 2 of the NFL season figures to have its own share of surprises just like week 1. Which teams will triumph?
Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills
Both teams are riding high off big wins in week 1. The key differences rest in how. Buffalo got theirs on the road and are now at home. They also feature a pass rush that should make life very hard on Ryan Tannehill despite the new-look Miami front.
Result: MIA 21, BUF 24
Detroit Lions at Carolina Panthers
Matthew Stafford had his way with the Giants but he will find the sledding much tougher away from Detroit against one of the top defenses in the league in Carolina. Cam Newton is also due back. That plus homefield really swings the pendulum.
Result: DET 17, CAR 23
Atlanta Falcons at Cincinnati Bengals
It couldn’t get much better for Matt Ryan than shredding the New Orleans Saints on the way to a thrilling opening victory. Sadly his euphoria should come crashing down against a loaded Bengals squad who were 8-0 at home last season.
Result: ATL 14, CIN 28
New Orleans Saints at Cleveland Browns
Historically, Drew Brees has struggled against the Browns for whatever reason. They do feature a strong defense that is eager to rebound after a bad first week. Still, New Orleans is just too talented and too motivated to drop this one.
Result: NO 31, CLE 20
