His value to the Indianapolis Colts is obvious, but he’s coming off a down year in the stat column, otherwise he’d be higher.

S. Cincinnati Bengals. Reggie Nelson. 22. player. 56. The strength of the defense for the Cincinnati Bengals runs through their front seven, but they can’t make anything work unless they have reliable bodies at safety. Reggie Nelson is not a superstar, but he knows and does his job with consistency. That is all coaches ask for from players.

Chicago Bears. Chris Conte. 23. player. 57. Fans love giving him grief for how the season ended for the Chicago Bears in 2013, but Chris Conte is not as bad as they make it sound. No safety could’ve masked the injury-riddled mess the Bears had up front last season, and that didn’t stop Conte from posting career-best numbers across the board.. S

59. Chris Clemons is gone, which means Reshad Jones will be depended on even more by the Miami Dolphins.
