Chip Kelly taking too long with this decision.

Chip Kelley was the hot coach this off-season. Everybody wanted to try to pry him away from Eugene. Actually people thought he would stay in college but the Eagles offer was too good (we are going to ignore the NCAA investigations and say he went because of the Eagles organization). He was going to change how offenses are played at the NFL level with his break neck pace and bring the Eagles back from the NFC East basement. He very well could do that but he needs a quarterback first. Chip Kelly keeping up with this charade of not picking a QB now is a bad idea. I understand you want competition because that brings out the best in players but dragging on this QB battle this long is doing more harm than good. As the old saying goes “If you have 2 QBs you have no QBs.” Receivers need to build a connection with the QB and that takes time and reps. Continually splitting reps is hurting that connection. Most people think Mike Vick will start and honestly he should. I understand he’s not the QB of the future here and the QB of the future might not be on the roster but he’s better than NIck Foles. He refuses to name a starter and even got upset when the media continued to ask about it. Well QB is the most important position on the field and if you have gone through OTA, minicamp, training camp and preseason without knowing who you are going to pick as your starter something is wrong. Hopefully he will name the starter after this 2nd preseason game but even then its been too long.
