Week 11 Heisman Watch: Richardson Impressive in Loss
1. Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama
Richardson didn’t have any touchdowns against LSU, but nobody had a touchdown the entire game. He finished with 169 total yards of offense, which is incredible if you watched any of the game at all. This guy is going to be a stud in the NFL and should be running with a little extra steam after that loss to LSU this week.
2. Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford
Luck continues his impressive season with three more touchdown passes against Oregon State, bringing his season total to 26. He’s completing over 71 percent of his passes and has shown excellent versatility and playmaking ability. He is one of the best athletes to play college sports.
3. Case Keenum, QB, Houston
The guy simply puts up huge numbers, and now Houston is rising in the BCS. I doubt they will make a huge game with Boise State out there, but they could make a splash and Keenum can flat out throw the ball around. He has 11 touchdowns in his last two games, and completed 88.6 percent of his passes in a win against UAB.
4. Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor
Griffin is falling a bit, but he had another great game against Missouri with four passing touchdowns, a rushing touchdown, and 470 yards of offense. He and the Bears also got a win against a solid Missouri team. I continue to be impressed with Griffin.
5. Montee Ball, RB, Wisconsin
We have had Russell Wilson on this poll for a good amount of time, but he is replaced by the true X-factor of that Wisconsin team: Montee Ball. Ball has been a touchdown machine this season and the second half of last season. He simply cannot be stopped. I am shocked that more people aren’t talking about this kid, even though Wisconsin has a great offensive line. He has 25 total touchdowns this year, including three this past week against Purdue to go along with 223 yards rushing. He is already over 1,000 yards for the season with 21 touchdowns on the ground, three receiving touchdowns, and one passing touchdown to–who else–Russell Wilson.
