Fantasy Football Start and Sit

Last week was another good week for me in fantasy football. I won both games, the one with all of the NFLmocks writers and the other one  made up of all Fansided NFL directors. That puts me 2-1 in one league and 3-0 in another, on the other hand though I did lose Kenny Britt for the season which is going to hurt moving forward. I’m not deep at WR.

Let’s start with who I’m personally starting and sitting before we move around the league.

Fansided writers league

Quarterback.

I like both of my quarterbacks. I have Matthew Stafford and Matt Schuab. So far this season I’ve played Shcuab every week. Last week was the first week he actually scored more points than Stafford (though it wasn’t by much). This week the Texans will play at home vs Pittsburgh while the Lions will head to Dallas to take on the Cowboys. I wouldn’t say either game is a cake-walk for either quarterback, but there are points to be had.

I’m going to start Matthew Stafford in Dallas over Schuab. Even though Dallas has a pass rush and that makes me a little worried, I think Calvin Johnson could have a field day against the Cowboys weak secondary.

Running back:

I have five running  backs and two starting running back spots. Fred Jackson, Chris Johnson, Joseph Addai, Ben Tate, and Pierre Thomas.

I’m going to start Jackson and Chris Johnson pretty easy.

I have two starting WR spots and five wide receivers: Hakeem Nicks, Dez Bryant, Vincent Jackson, Jacoby Jones, Mike Williams (seattle).

My two starting WR spots are going to Hakeem Nicks and Vincent Jackson. Pretty easy decisions.

I have one healthy tight end on the roster: Dustin Keller (the other is Aaron Hernandez). He’ll get the start.

I have two flex positions.

I went with Dez Bryant (easy call) and Joseph Addai (tough call).

I went with Addai over Ben Tate, Pierre Thomas, and Jacoby Jones. I just think Addai has more of a chance of a major impact though Ben Tate will probably play a lot as the Texans easy Foster back into the starting lineup.  I’m nervous about Addai though because I’m not high on Curtis Painter so that makes me very nervous and the Buccaneers front seven is talented.

I’ll let you know how that one goes.

My kicker is Rian Lindell and my defense is the Buccaneers

Quarterback

This again is my toughest call. I have Big Ben and Matt Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck is playing in Cleveland and he’s put up big numbers all year. Big Ben on the other hand has struggled most of the season, he played pretty poorly vs the Colts last Sunday night.

I’m playing Big Ben over Hasselbeck though I’m unsure.

Running back

I’m absolutely stacked at running back. Darren McFadden, Ray Rice, and Ahmad Bradshaw are my top three running backs. My backup running backs are Brandon Jacobs and Michael Bush.

My two starting running back playes are Mcfadden and Rice (Bradshaw gets the WR/RB flex).

My wide receivers have been much better than expected. I started the season with Stevie Johnson and Kenny Britt which I felt comftorable with, the problem I have is that Britt was lost for the season.

Ouch. That’s where it gets bad now.

My backup WR are: Torrey Smith, Antonio Brown, Lee Evans, and Brandon Gibson.

Torrey Smith draws a tough matchup with the Jets cornerbacks who are pretty good. Brandon Gibson is up against the Washington Redskins, the problem is the Rams are terrible.

Lee Evans is out.

Right now I’m tentatively starting Torrey Smith vs the Jets but I don’t like it. I’m just hoping from another huge game from Darren Mcfadden and for Bradshaw to finally find the End-zone.

TE is Dallas Clark over Fred Davis.

My defense is the Redskins and my kicker Rob Bironas.

That’s my plan of attack. Now some general start and sits, from around the league. I’ll not do the obvious ones (like start Ray Rice). You can also check out my colleagues start and site. MR Freakin’ Fantasys week 4 start and sit
