Updated NFL Mock Draft: 1/07/10

16. Jacksonville Jaguars– Janoris Jenkins- CB- Florida
– The secondary for the Jaguars has been a weak point for a few years so I feel they will address this position early. Jenkins is an aggressive corner that will excel in zone coverage. He has good balls skills and could potential lead the team in interceptions.
17. New England Patriots (Oak)- Julio Jones- WR- Alabama
– I know New England likes their stable of wide receivers but they lack size. Jones is a big bodied wide out that can make plays down the field, him and Brady will be a deadly combination.
18. San Diego Chargers– Cameron Jordan- DE- Cal
– The Chargers are going to look to either upgrade the defense or wide receiver position. I could see them going with someone like Jon Baldwin who fills their lust of big wide receivers.
19. New York Giants– Gabe Carimi- OT- Wisconsin
– The staple of all the Giants success is ability to run the football. During the Giants Super Bowl run the offensive line was very dominate but now they are aging. Carimi is a stout run blocker and will fit in nicely in the Giant’s scheme.
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers– Rahim Moore- S- UCLA
– Tampa Bay’s success this season came as a surprise to most and that success was due to the development of their young talent. They made good draft selections the past few years and I don’t think it will end now. Moore is the top safety in the draft and someone you can trust to man the back of your defense.
21. Seattle Seahawks– Adrian Clayborn- DE- Iowa
– Pete Carroll has a rare defensive scheme that needs a good 5 technique to be successful. Clayborn has the skills to fit that role and even provide a bit of a pass rush.
22. Kansas City Chiefs– Jon Baldwin- WR- Pitt
– Dwayne Bowe has had an excellent season but with that will come extra attention. The Chiefs could just another weapon opposite Bowe in order to avoid double teams.
23. Indianapolis Colts– Anthony Castonzo- OT- Boston College
– The Colts could look to address the long standing problems in the middle of their defensive line but lets be honest the main goal is protecting Peyton Manning. Castonzo has a ton of athletic ability and could help keep Manning upright for the rest of his career.
24. Philadelphia Eagles– Brandon Harris- CB- Miami
– I think the Eagles address either the interior of the offensive line or cornerback. You can always find some good guards and centers later in the draft and someone like Harris could help the defense right away.
25. Green Bay Packers– Ryan Kerrigan- DE/OLB- Purdue
– Green Bay has suffered a ton of injuries this season but some how made to the playoffs. I think this team would be more dangerous if they found another pass rusher to compliment Clay Matthews.
