NFC East: Individual Match-Ups to Watch For

The NFC East has so many solid story lines entering the 2015 season. Players swapping their stripes, fresh faces against new-found enemies. All the fun of football! Tonight we are looking at the NFC East and which individual player match-ups are the most intriguing as we move forward into the season.

Jason Peters v. Greg Hardy

The best left tackle in the league will be handling one of the more ferocious defensive ends in football. While Hardy won’t be facing the Eagles in their first matchup, their teams’ second meeting will surely be a site to see.

Eagles Front Seven v. Dallas Offensive Line

The best front seven against the best offensive line? Yes please! Give me La’El Collins blocking Mychal Kendricks or Fletcher Cox fighting his way past Martin. Hopefully some prime time showdowns will light up the field when these lines go head to head.

Odell Beckham Jr v. DeAngelo Hall

Lets look at the grey areas of the division. Last years superstar Odell Beckham Jr versus a wily veteran in DeAngelo Hall. Odell will most likely get the best of Hall, but the idea of young versus old is always a great story line.

DeSean Jackson v. Byron Maxwell

Silly DeSean, catches are for stars! DeSean loves to gloat against his former home fans and teammates. Hopefully this year the upgrade from Bradley Fletcher to Byron Maxwell will put DeSean Jackson (or as he says it Jaccson) in his place and out of his egotistical self. No wonder why he’s out of Philadelphia. Just a locker room hassle that’s not worth $10 million.

Robert Griffin III v. Every Front Seven

Who knows what to expect from the kid, heck “veteran” at this point. Linebackers in this league smell blood and RGIII just has visions of pit bulls in his head. If he can stand still and take a hit in the pocket, he might someday live up to his own, self-made hype of being the “best QB in the league.”
