#7:  Trent Williams:  “Silverback

Probably no other player on this list embraces his nickname more than Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams.  Dubbed “Silverback” after the famed silverback gorillas, known for their hulking size and nasty disposition, it only seemed too appropriate considering the offensive lineman was as big, strong and remarkably agile as one.

If that weren’t enough, Williams took it a step further when he put a silverback tattoo on his back and then purchased a $150,000 chain with a jeweled gorilla head on it.  Props to him for having fun with it, but the truth is he earned the title by manhandling pass rushers on Sundays.  According to Pro Football Focus, he has not posted a minus pass blocker rating since his rookie season in 2010.  That may be why he’s been to three-straight Pro Bowls ending with last season.

One may have to upgrade him to “King Kong” before it’s all said and done.
