Tony Romo is having more trouble with his back, and with that came another bitter NFL defeat for the Dallas Cowboys.  Despite their strong start headlined by DeMarco Murray and the maturation of 1st round pick Zach Martin into a front line guard, there are going to be those who inevitably look back at what could’ve been during the draft in May.

Brandon Weeden providing headaches for Jerry Jones

Everyone who bothered to watch remembers that Dallas was among the teams that seriously considered taking Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel.  Owner Jerry Jones was reportedly a huge fan and really wanted to take him.  In the end he was talked out of it and instead convinced to go with Martin instead.  For the first six weeks of the season it looked like a brilliant choice.  That is until Romo came out of the Washington loss with more fractures in his ailing back.

Suddenly the Cowboys had to turn to Brandon Weeden to guide the ship.  He was anything but effective in a 28-17 loss to Arizona.  He barely completed half his passes for 183 yards and threw two costly interceptions against what was rated the worst pass defense in the league in the Cardinals.  To see that happen knowing that it could’ve instead been the Manziel has to make Jones a little woozy with a headache.

The Dallas Cowboys are 6-3.  Their starting quarterback is one bad hit away from ending his career and they have nobody in reserve.

Misfortune galore for America’s Team.
