Today the Wisconsin Badgers will take on the Oregon Ducks in one of the most intriguing games of the day. You have Wisconsin’s power vs Oregon’s speed. Who will win this game? Who will shine. This is a great opportunity for draft prospects to show they can handle the power/speed of their opponets.

Wisconsin prospects

Russel Wilson QB

Wilson is going to be one of the most polarizing quarterback prospects in this draft. He doesn’t have good size and when he was with North Carolina State he made a million more mistakes. This year he is playing great? But is that because of the offensive line in front of him? Is he still the mistake prone QB people saw at NC State? he has a cannon of an arm and can also run.

Montee Ball, RB

Another prospect people find polarizing. Ball has had one of the most productive football seasons in the history of College Football. Is that a product of the offensive line in front of him? Watch today for yourself and see if Ball has the vision and explosion that teams covet in running backs.

Nick Toon, WR

The talk about the  possibility of Toon being a late first round prospect has died down a bit which is fair because I never thought he was a first round wide receiver. Though he does have some nice abilities. Toon has good size  at 6’3 and a guy who can get down the field and make plays, but to me, he’s more of a number two wide receiver than a 1A or #1 WR.

Peter Konz, C, Kevin Zeitler, G, Ricky Wagner, T, Josh Oglesby

If you don’t live under a rock, you probably know that Wisconsin has a good offensive line. And here they are. The best of them is Peter Konz the center, but Zeitler has had a real nice season this year putting his stock into the second round range. Reports are that Ricky Wagner will return to school next year.

There are two defenders I like for Wisconsin

Antonio Fenelus, CB

Fenelus is a competitive cornerback who could be an ideal fit for a cover two. He is aggressive and a strong tackler. He has a lot of limiations though, his speed, size,  are all below average for N.F.L cornerbacks. A team that values run support, and plays a lot of zone coverage could find themselves a nice player on day three.

Aaron Henry, S

Henry is one of the most physically gifted safety prospects in this class. A fast, fluid athlete who can be a really nice safety prospect. He is also too agressive and lacks great instincts. He is inconsistent and has given up a lot of big plays, but if coached up he could be a guy who starts for years in the N.F.L.;

Oregon Ducks

Speed, speed, speed.

Darron Thomas, QB

Not a top QB prospect, but an intriguing developmental prospect. He has great mobility and enough arm strength for teams to take a late round flier on him and hope he develops.

LaMichael James, RB

I have No idea where he will be drafted. The book on him is that he’s a gifted athlete who can’t be an everydown running back. He can catch the football and is a big play waiting to happen. Players of his ilk (Jahvid Best, C.J. Spiller) have been drafted in the first round will he be the next?  He could last as late as the back end of the third round He can also be a special teams weapon.

Kenjon Barner, RB

Barner has been overshadowed by James, but he’s a good player in his own right. Another dynamic running back prospect who can be a big play threat at the N.F.L. level.

Cliff Harris, CB

Should mention his name. Too many off the field problems, no longer with the team. Was a potential first round pick before his off the field escapades.

David Paulson, TE

Paulson is not featured in the Ducks offense, so it makes it a little tougher to get a great feel on him. The weapons on Oregon make him look like he is going in slow motion, but he’s not slow. He’s a good receiver who gets up the field and creates some yards after the catch. At 6’4 240 pounds he doesn’t have great size, but he is a good athlete and could be a good fit in the right system.

These are the major guys you want to watch in today’s game.
