Denzel Boston is a big-time baller. On Friday night, the Washington Huskies wide receiver showed off his NFL-caliber skills in helping his team take care of the Rutgers Scartlet Knights in a 38-19 victory.
While the NFL is watching former Washington alum Rome Odunze transcend into a touchdown maker in his second season with the Chicago Bears, there is another big receiver in the pipeline ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.
At 6-foot-4, 209 pounds, Boston is projected as one of the top wide receiver prospects in the nation. He showcased the reason why with 5 catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns against Rutgers.

On a night in which Washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr. shined with 402 yards passing and 136 yards rushing for four total touchdowns, Boston highlighted the night by showcasing one of his scouting strengths: an absolute powerhouse in contested catch situations.
He showed that skill off and will have NFL teams reaching for him in the first round.
Potential NFL fits for Denzel Boston in the 2026 NFL Draft
In total, Boston has 30 receptions for 444 yards and 6 touchdowns for the Huskies in 2025. His 14.8 yards per catch makes him an intermediate range receiver with outside influence given his size, power and ability to get up and snag the ball. In an offense with an established quarterback, Boston should be a factor in an NFL offense right away.
Here are 3 teams that come to mind when it comes to Denzel Boston.
Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens seem to always be in the market for a wide receiver. With Lamar Jackson under center, a big-bodied receiver like Boston can thrive. As a playmaker who creates separation anywhere on the field, Boston would be a great compliment to Zay Flowers in the Ravens’ offense. He is also a tremendous red zone threat.
Philadelphia Eagles: The ongoing A.J. Brown trade rumors make the Eagles a team who will be looking for a wide receiver or two in the 2026 NFL Draft. With the Eagles expected to select later in the first round, Boston would be an ideal replacement for Brown given his ability as a sideline receiver.
New England Patriots: The Patriots are seeing exactly what a top-level receiver can do for the offense with the way Diggs is ballin’ catching the ball from Drake Maye. Despite that production, the Patriots still have needs at the wide receiver position and a player like Boston would give Maye another big target who could grow into No. 1 wide receiver eventually. If Diggs is back in 2026, a nice, big No. 2 option would make Maye that more impactful.
