The best running back tandem in the nation combined for 186 rushing yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 22 Notre Dame over Boise state 28-7 in a Week 6 battle Saturday afternoon in South Bend, Ind. We are talking about Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price who both put their stamp on the game.
Love, who finished with 16 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown, is performing like the 2026 NFL Draft prospect scouts and analysts expect to go high in the draft, but Price is quickly moving up the draft big board. With 83 yards on eight carries and a touchdown, the junior running back is putting the NFL on notice.
If his overall performance hasn’t already gained him notoriety so far this season, this 49-yard touchdown run to break the backs of the Boise State showed Price is a running back prospect who is ready for the NFL.

That combination of speed, vision and power has made Price just as dangerous in Notre Dame’s offense as Love. So far this season, Price has rushed for 273 yards on 40 carries with 6 touchdowns. His 6.8 yards per rush average makes him the type of back NFL teams will be looking at on Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft if he declares.
Potential NFL fits for Jadarian Price
While it would be beneficial for Price to return to Notre Dame, he is eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft. He could return and increase his draft stock in 2027, but if he continues to torch defenses like he did in the play above, his draft stock may not get any hotter. Projected as a fourth-round pick, Price could go as high as the third round if not higher.
With the running back position gaining steam again in the NFL, here are two teams who should be high on price:
Chicago Bears: The Bears are a team commonly linked to Jeremiyah Love in NFL Mock Drafts, but they can take care of other needs in the first round and look towards a player like Price late on Day 2 or early on Day 3 to satisfy their need at running back. With his dynamic ability to score from anywhere on the field, Price in a Bears’ uniform playing under Ben Johnson couldn’t be an intriguing fit.
Dallas Cowboys: Another team that can be high on the list for a running back like Price in the 2026 NFL Draft are the Dallas Cowboys. They do have Javonte Williams handling the rock this season, but looking beyond 2025, the Cowboys could be relying on 2025 NFL Draft pick Jaydon Blue to take over as their featured back. Why not add Price to the backfield to compete for that role. Even if they decide to bring Williams back on a longer deal, the Cowboys could create a dynamic backfield that features both power and speed as well as depth.
In all, a player like Price will be a good fit in any offense. He is a player NFL scouts will and should have their eye on going forward. He won’t have a high-round price, but he could be just the type of player who could be a steal in the later rounds.
