Steelers look to land top playmaker from Texas A&M

No. 51: Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M

Edgerrin Cooper is renowned for his incredible speed and remarkable coverage skills. Nonetheless, he often tends to charge in too aggressively and faces difficulty halting himself in open areas, leading to his susceptibility to being outmaneuvered by the ball carrier. Despite this, during his 2023 tenure at Texas A&M, Cooper demonstrated his prowess with an impressive record of 84 tackles, 17.0 tackles for loss, and eight sacks.

No. 84: Javon Baker, WR, UCF

The Pittsburgh Steelers may need to consider drafting a rookie wide receiver, given George Pickens' dissatisfaction and Diontae Johnson's potential departure. Javon Baker would be an excellent choice, as he possesses impressive athleticism and can create separation downfield. Additionally, he has reliable catching skills and can track the ball superbly, effectively winning jump ball situations.

No. 119: Matt Goncalves, Tackle, Pittsburgh

Matt Goncalves is a modern-day tackle who stands tall at 6'6" and weighs 330 pounds. Impressive. Even more impressive is that he has managed to maintain a clean slate by not allowing a single sack in his past two seasons at Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, his 2023 season was cut short due to an injury that ended his season. However, there's no doubt that when Goncalves returns, he will be back in action and most likely be assigned to the right tackle position.
