The Los Angeles Rams started the 2023 regular season with a respectable 3-3 record. Unfortunately, thanks to nagging injuries to starting quarterback Matthew Stafford, in tandem with an extremely young roster, the team has fallen back to Earth. The current three-game skid is disheartening, but it does have one redeeming quality: Better positioning in the 2024 NFL Draft.

With Stafford seemingly on his last legs, the Rams will face a turning point of sorts in the offseason. The absurd amount of dead cap space committed to the veteran quarterback further clouds the future at the position. However, if LA finds itself picking inside the top 5-10, it must take advantage of the chance to secure a successor to Stafford.
In today’s mock draft, we will examine this possibility in great detail. Assuming a signal-caller is on the table, which one makes the most sense for Sean McVay’s crew? Barring a trade up the board, Caleb Williams and Drake Maye are likely out of reach. But lucky for the Rams, the 2024 quarterback class profiles as a deep class on paper.
