Projecting Michigan football players in 7-round 2024 NFL Mock Draft: National champions produce 11 selections
Michigan Wolverines captain lands in the NFC South
The Saints add depth along the offensive line with the selection of Zak Zinter with the No. 150 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
At 6-foot-6, 309 pounds, the Michigan Wolverines product was named First-team Associated Press All-American amongst other accolades as one of the top guards in the country during his final season as captain of the reigning National Champions. Tough with great size and technique, Zinter could be a steal at this spot in the draft given his projection as a starter in the NFL.
As part of a trade down, the Jets use pick No. 172 on wide receiver Cornelius Johnson.
To get as many playmakers as possible around Aaron Rodgers, the Jets take a chance on the three-year starter who caught 47 passes for 604 yards and a touchdown during his final season with the Michigan Wolverines.
Along with his great combination of size and athleticism, Johnson has a chippy side that will earn him a roster spot with the Jets and perhaps some playing time during the season.
