By Beau Adams
The NFL season is in full swing, and Week 6 showcased the exceptional talent of the league's rookie players. These young athletes have been making their mark on the field, demonstrating their skills and potential to become future stars in the NFL.
As always, NFL Mocks will look closely at some of the standout rookies from Week 6, highlighting their impressive performances and awarding the coveted Rookie of the Week and the Sam La Porta Awards.
Bryce Young, the No. 1 overall pick for the Carolina Panthers, is showing signs of early maturation and progress. Despite the team's tough loss to Miami, Young proved his mettle by following up his best game as a professional with another premium performance. He didn't light up the stat sheet or win the game, but he was the best rookie QB this week.
In the game against Miami, Young demonstrated a new level of control and focus. He did not opt to scramble for the first time, keeping his eyes downfield and executing a couple of absolute dimes. He threw for a touchdown pass in the early lead established by Carolina, contributing significantly to their initial momentum.
Young's notable performance saw him complete 23 out of 38 passes, 60.3 percent completion rate, throwing 217 yards and one touchdown. His calculated moves and improved decision-making on the field indicate his growing confidence and maturation in his role.
Young beat out CJ Stroud by 17 yards and a TD for his second straight win. Welcome to greatness, Bryce; at 0-6, your future can only get better.
